Application Settings

V1.0

Windows Hello Secured

To require a user to login before they can access the RCL VC Verifier application, follow these steps:

  • Open the Settings page
  • In the Windows Hello section, turn on the Windows Hello Secured setting
  • The next time the application is opened, a Windows Hello login will be required to access the application

Email Sender

Before an issuer can send a credential to a recipient via email, the email settings must be set. To configure the email settings, follow these steps:

  • Open the Settings page
  • In the Email Sender section, set the Organization name sending the emails
  • Add the SMTP Server Host, eg. smtp.gmail.com or smtp-mail.outlook.com
  • Add the TLS port, eg. 587. Only TLS (STARTTLS) is supported
  • Add the sender’s email address, eg. contoso@gmail.com or contoso@outlook.com
  • Add the password for the email address. For Gmail, this is generally a generated 16-character App Password and not the normal login password. For Outlook, it can be the normal password, or an App Password if Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is used
